Fall Trend: Lip ColorsFall trends like plaid patterns, stylish sneakers, and shiny metallics couldn’t be complete without the best fall makeup trends. Since a lot of makeup isn’t allowed for everyday wear, I’ve turned to what I’d like to call my new best friend- lipstick. Here’s how the autumn runways are using lipstick to bring out the best in these fall trends: Brown The 90s trend of brown lipstick is now making its way back! Makeup artist for the Rodarte show, James Kaliardos, says pairing brown lips (which give an 80s-90s punk look) with glitter on top (which makes the look girly), is how “you imagine fairy-tale makeup”. You can get this timeless look by picking up a shade like Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Lipstick in Coffee Shimmer for $5.49 at Ulta. Nude Who says nude tones for lips have to be boring? Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs have both used these pale shades on the runway to create elegant but simple looks. To get a simply sophisticated look, try Essence’s Long-lasting Lipstick in Nude Love for just $3 at Ulta. Berry For another elegant look, Caroline Herrera’s makeup artist, Diane Kendal, takes a berry-colored lipstick and blots some of it off. This technique results in pinkish-purple stained lips. Berry colored lips can be youthful and simple or sophisticated and chic, depending on how it’s worn. Try Maybelline’s Color Sensation Lip-color in Bit of Berry at Ulta for $7.49 if you dream of achieving a lip color for all occasions. Red To look fierce and glamorous, red lips are the way to go. It is a classic color that won’t go out of style, even despite the season. Whether you are going to a holiday party this fall/winter, going out with friends, or just going to school (like me!), red lips will always get you noticed in a crowd. Rimmel London’s Moisture Renew Lipstick in Diva Red ($7 at Ulta) will help you make a statement. Keep in mind that these trends are translating nicely to the winter as well! Stay Classy Valley,
